Emme Racing was founded in 1982, when Gian Paolo Masotto, mechanical engineer, decided to build a racing kart chassis for his brother, who wanted to participate in European and world kart competitions. At first, Gian Paolo would work out of his home garage, where a great adventure started to unfold and led him to create products that revolutionized the world of karting. One example is the detachable anti-torsion bar, designed in 1994, during the final of the Junior European Championship, where Gian paolo participated with Ronni Quintarelli. Another importan innovation introduced by the Emme Racing founder was the monoblock brake caliper.
In 1997 the EKS brand was born (acronym of Eagle Kart System – a reference to the Lunar Module Eagle spacecraft, that allowed the Apollo 11 crew to land on the Moon in 1969). Since then, it has been used on all chassis designed and manufactured by Gian Paolo. From the nineties until today, Emme Racing has undergone numerous changes, the most important one being the move from the original workshop in Salizzole (VR) to the new and improved 2.000 square metres headquarters in Concamarise (VR). This provided more space for production and it allowed the addition of a new area for assembling and a show-room for finished products.
